Unlike other shooters, the Tribes Aerial Assault videogame lets players fly in addition to running and jumping, giving gamers a 3D action experience. The game provides an arsenal of futuristic weapons, vehicles, and boundless outdoor arenas in which to do battle.
A true team game, the Tribes Aerial Assault game lets players assume different roles and play different kinds of games, including the all-time-favorite, Capture the Flag. Players can also get the full Tribes experience offline with a full single-player campaign, or play any of the online game types with computer-controlled players.
Tribes: Aerial Assault is an online first-person shooter video game released for PlayStation 2 in 2002 by Sierra Entertainment. It was one of the first PlayStation 2 titles designed almost exclusively for online play and was the first online PlayStation 2 shooter that supports both modem and broadband connections. It was announced in tandem with Sony's online strategy for the PlayStation 2 at E3 2001.
