Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a third-person shooter developed by Epic Games. It is the first part of the original Gears of War trilogy.
Plot
Gears of War takes place on a planet called Sera, that is much like Earth. The radioactive fluid that was later named Imulsion became a potent energy source after the scientists found a way to use it. This substance caused mutations to the wildlife that lived in caves. 14 years later, after several wars, the Coalition of Ordered Governments is the only human government on the planet.
You play as Marcus, who gets back in the army after four-year imprisonment for disobeying his commanding officer to save his own father.
Gameplay
Gears Of War revolves around third-person combat and the usage of cover by the player. When the player is hit, the Crimson Omen is displayed on the screen. A crimson red sign that is used as the player's health indicator. To regenerate health, the players have to hide behind cover.
The game's story is divided into 5 acts that can be played both in singleplayer or in co-op mode. A multiplayer mode is also present in the game.
Multiplayer
Players battle each other in 5v5 matches. All matches can be played in Ranked mode, where one's progress is tracked or create custom lobbies for your friends.
Ultimate Edition features
Ultimate Edition is a remastered version of the game, which includes new cutscenes, refined graphics, all DLCs and tweaked multiplayer.
